Dr. Simonin received her undergraduate degree in Biology with a minor in Psychology from the University of South Carolina in Columbia. She received her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina. She completed her pediatric residency program at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia. She completed her neonatal-perinatal clinical fellowship training at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia in Augusta.

Dr. Simonin is board-certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine.

She is an active fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, section on Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.

She was also appointed as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Clinical Educator Track) at Mercer University School of Medicine – Savannah Campus at Memorial University Medical Center.
