About

Dr. Lindsay Elton graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Arts in anthropology. She pursued her medical education at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and obtained her medical degree in 2002.

Dr. Elton completed her pediatrics residency at the Children’s Hospital of Austin, acting as chief resident from 2004-2005, followed by a child neurology fellowship with UT Southwestern Children’s Medical Center in Dallas.

Dr. Elton serves as the medical director for child neurology at St. David’s North Austin Medical Center/St. David’s Children’s Hospital. She is also a member of the Child Neurology Society and American Headache Society and regularly attends meetings to stay abreast of the latest developments pertaining to kids and adolescents.

Dr. Elton is a native Austinite who is married and enjoys all the outdoor activities, dining and arts that Austin has to offer. She also enjoys sewing, reading and travel.

A pediatric neurology specialty requires at least five years of training following graduation from medical school. There are several pathways to train. Our program is unique in that we allow all five years to be completed at Pediatrix® Specialty Care of Austin. We believe doing so offers residents the opportunity to build relationships with patients and families, which is an essential aspect for delivering high-quality care.
