About

Stephanie M. Wright, DO, FACOG is the physician and owner of Pediatrix Gynecology of the Rocky Mountains. She initially became interested in the health care needs of young women as a college student when she spent her summers volunteering with Rotary International at the Rotary youth leadership award (RYLA) girl’s camp for high school juniors and seniors. It became quite clear that our young women were falling through the cracks when it came to their knowledge of caring for themselves and the understanding of their body’s unique functions. After college, Dr. Wright pursued her goals to become a Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecologist. She went to medical school at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Missouri which is now the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. During her time in Medical school, she joined the United States Air Force. She did her internship at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in Northern California and finished her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of California-Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, California. After the completion of her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology she served another 3 years of active duty military service as a staff Ob/Gyn at Malcolm Grow Medical Center at Andrews Air Force Base in Washington DC. In the summer of 2011, Dr. Wright decided to separate from the military and pursue further training in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. She spent a year training at one of the leading children’s hospitals in the United States. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is particularly known worldwide for its Colorectal Center which collaborates Pediatric surgery, Urology and Gynecology in the care of complex congenital anomalies. Cincinnati Children’s Hospital is one of only eight hospitals in the United States and Canada which offers further training in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology to physicians trained in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Wright is board certified by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and holds Fellowship status within this organization. It is her ambition to not only be a source of knowledge and education for her patients but also a supporter of the community to encourage health and confidence in young women in Colorado.
