Ashleigh Payne, M.D.

About

Dr. Payne hails from New Mexico and has lived in Dallas for over a decade. She received her medical degree at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. She completed her pediatric residency at Children's Medical Center Dallas and University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and was invited to spend an extra year as chief resident there. She went on to complete a pediatric cardiology fellowship at UT Southwestern, where her interests included cardiac genetics and preventative cardiology. At UT Southwestern she investigated genetic mechanisms of congenital heart disease and researched genetic contributions to hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Her clinical interests include general pediatric cardiology as well as prevention and inherited heart disease. Dr. Payne is married with two children, a boy and a girl.
