Dr. Felix Okah, a neonatologist, joined Pediatrix Neonatology of Florida in August 2020. He graduated from the University of Ibadan College of Medicine, Nigeria, and completed a pediatric residency at the Cook County Children’s Hospital, Chicago, IL. Dr. Okah's neonatology fellowship was completed at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and he received a Masters in Epidemiology at the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati, OH. A Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Okah is board-certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine. Dr. Okah is a perinatal epidemiologist by training and has previously published research on perinatal implications of health behaviors of pregnant women in several reputable medical journals.

Before coming to Pensacola, Dr. Okah briefly worked with Pediatrix in Las Vegas, NV, and, before that, was at the Children’s Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, MO, where he practiced for more than 16 years and served as the director of the neonatology fellowship training program. He was also a professor of pediatrics and an assistant dean at the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Medicine, Kansas City, MO.
