Ann Brooks, MSN, NNP, is a board-certified neonatal nurse practitioner (NNP) with nearly 25 years of experience in neonatal intensive care and pediatric transport. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Deaconess College of Nursing in Chicago and her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University in Minneapolis. Ann also completed a neonatal nurse practitioner program at Jacksonville University.

Before settling in Hurlburt Field, Florida, Ann spent 18 years traveling different parts of the United States and overseas with her husband, Bruce, who was in the military. While they relocated every year or two, she continued practicing as a nurse, primarily in obstetrics and pediatrics.

In her NNP role at Pediatrix® Medical Group, Ann cares for premature and critically ill newborns in Ascension Sacred Heart’s Level III neonatal intensive care unit and is a member of the neonatal/pediatric transport team. She actively works with paramedic students during their NICU rotation, teaching Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program® (NRP).
