Aryan Azimi-Zonooz, M.D., is a neonatologist who attended medical school at St. Louis University School of Medicine in Missouri. He completed his residency and chief residency in pediatrics and his neonatology fellowship at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. He spent the next 10 years in academic medicine and basic science research.

Board-certified in pediatrics, Dr. Azimi-Zonooz has been devoted exclusively to clinical Neonatology. Before joining Obstetrix® Medical Group of Colorado, he spent eight years as a staff neonatologist at St. Charles Health System in Bend, Oregon, serving as the medical director of the neonatal intensive care unit and NICU developmental follow-up clinic. He was also an advisory board member of Healthy Families Oregon, a multi-site state program accredited by Healthy Families America (HFA), an affiliate of Prevent Child Abuse America — the nation’s oldest and largest organization committed to preventing child abuse.

Dr. Azimi-Zonooz and his wife, Dana, are officially empty nesters with two boys in college at the University of Colorado. One of their sons is majoring in journalism, and the other is completing the physical therapy doctorate program. They enjoy the outdoors, traveling, cooking and pursuing culinary gems off the beaten path.
