About

Emily Viesca received her undergraduate degree in nursing at The University of Texas in Austin. She started her career at Dell Children's as a nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit (IMC). She then moved to Houston and worked as a nurse in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) at Texas Children's Hospital while obtaining her master's degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). Emily is boarded as an acute care pediatric nurse practitioner. She worked as an acute care nurse practitioner at Texas Children's Hospital in the inpatient Cardiology department prior to joining Pediatric & Congenital Cardiology Associates in 2022. Emily specializes in caring for infants, children and adolescents with congenital heart disease. She has been awarded with the Good Samaritan Foundation Excellence in Nursing Bronze award in 2021 and 2022.  Emily loves spending time with friends and family. She likes practicing yoga, listening to music and exploring the outdoors.
