Dr. Heibel was born and raised in Victoria, TX. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University with additional Research and University Honors. She remained in College Station where she attended Texas A&M Health Science center, earning her Medical Doctorate with Honors. Dr. Heibel then completed pediatric residency at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi, where she earned the distinguished John G and Elena Suess Kenedy award for integrity and quality of patient care and physician relationships. Afterwards, she specialized in pediatric cardiology at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, followed by additional training in interventional cardiology at Rady Children’s Hospital with the University of California, San Diego. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Heibel cares for patients with congenital and acquired heart disease from birth through early adulthood. She specializes in cardiac catheterization and performs procedures ranging from diagnostic cardiac catheterization to device closure of atrial septal defects and patent ductus arteriosus, balloon angioplasty and stenting of vessels, and balloon valvuloplasty. Additionally, she provides outpatient and inpatient evaluation and management for patients with congenital or acquired heart disease.

Dr. Heibel is glad to have finally returned to Texas to serve her community. Her and her family enjoy getting outdoors, mountain biking, paddleboarding, cooking, and board game nights.
