About

Dr. Chang was born in Mississippi and lived in both Iowa and Texas. He majored in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, and attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Galveston. He then moved to Arizona where he completed his Pediatrics residency at the Phoenix Children's/Maricopa Medical Center. Afterwards, he completed his fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital with The University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. There he performed research in cardiovascular evaluation of COVID-19 in athletes and published in Circulation. He also went on to present research on echocardiographic parameters in children with pectus excavatum at the American Society of Echocardiography Scientific Sessions.

Dr. Chang is happy to be back in Texas so he can root for his Texas Longhorns (Hook'em!). In his free time, he enjoys cooking, trying new restaurants, spending time with friends and his family, watching football, hiking and traveling.
