Dr. Alireza Alam specializes in pediatric urology. He attended medical school at the University of Tehran School of Medicine in Tehran, Iran. He completed surgical residency at Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences. Dr. Alam completed a pediatric surgery fellowship at the University of Tehran School of Medicine/Amirkabir Hospital. He completed pediatric urology fellowships at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Miami Children’s Hospital and the University of California at Irvine/Children’s Hospital of Orange County.
Dr. Alam’s clinical interests include hypospadias, neurogenic bladder and complex congenital conditions, such as bladder exstrophy and disorders of sexual development. He is a member of the American Urology Association, Society of Pediatric Urology, European Society for Pediatric Urology, and the Hypospadias International Society. Dr. Alam has been with Children’s Urology Associates since July 2016 and with Pediatrix since March 2018.
Dr. Alam speaks English and Farsi. He is married with two daughters and has lived in Miami for the past five years.
