Diabetes Management and Education

At Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists of the Mountain States we are committed to providing patients with the special care they need to successfully manage diabetes while pregnant. Our Diabetes Program utilizes a team approach in caring for our patients.

Along with maternal fetal medicine physicians, our program utilizes certified diabetic nurse educators (CDE) and perinatal nurses with special training in diabetic education and management to provide consultations, pre-conception counseling, diabetes education, and blood glucose monitoring for women with preexisting and gestational diabetes In addition, we offer antepartum fetal monitoring including fetal ultrasound and antenatal testing under the supervision of maternal-fetal medicine specialists.
