The need for a referral depends on your insurance. Your primary care physician should be able to obtain one from your insurance company and assist you in the process. We will accept faxes from the primary care physician since the referral must be received by the time of the office visit.
How long will the office visit take?
Patient visits typically take around 90 minutes, depending on what tests are performed. Complex medical issues or additional testing may prolong the visit.
When will I receive the results of my visit?
You will get test results for echocardiograms and EKGs from the physician immediately. Results of other testing, such as Holter monitors and event recorders are given once the device is returned to the office and the data has been reviewed.
Do I need to prepare my child for any of the diagnostic tests?
No special preparation is required for routine testing in our office.
Do I need to accompany my child for the visit?
Yes. We require a parent or legal guardian to accompany all patients under the age of 18.
Will you report the findings of the visit to my primary care physician?
Yes. A letter and report of the findings will be sent to your physician after each office visit.
What is my monetary responsibility?
You will be responsible for any applicable co-payment, deductible or coinsurance at the time of the visit.
