Katie Oshrine was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota and grew up in Seminole, Florida. She is a board certified Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner and has been a pediatric clinician since 2006. She graduated from Florida State University with her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing degree from Boston College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. Katie is a member of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Association, Society of Pediatric Nurses, Society of Pediatric Cardiovascular Nurses, and the Northeast Pediatric Cardiology Nurses Association. Katie is a certified provider of Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Basic Life Support, and Advanced Cardiac Life Support. She is also a certified Clinical Transplant Nurse and a certified Pediatric Nurse. Her clinical work has included a staff nurse position within the pediatric medical and surgical inpatient unit at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia for three years, followed by a staff nursing position within the pediatric cardiovascular intensive and intermediate unit at Boston Children's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts for three years. She began her career as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia as a key member of the Heart/Lung Pediatric Transplantation Program. She joined the Pediatric Cardiology Associates Program in 2015. Katie's areas of special focus include hypertension, syncope, preventative cardiology medicine, cardiomyopathy, and general cardiology.
