Dr. Suying Lam was born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador. She earned her medical degree at the Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil in 2006, as well as a master's degree in Clinical Trials with the Universidad de Sevilla, Spain in 2008. Dr. Lam then moved to the United States where she completed her Pediatric internship and residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, New York in 2012. She relocated to Miami, Florida and completed her pediatric cardiology fellowship training at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital in 2015. She is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Cardiology, and Adult Congenital Heart disease.

She joined Pediatric Cardiology Associates/Tampa Bay Adult Congenital Heart Center in April 2021. Dr. Lam’s clinical interests involve caring for adults with congenital heart disease, cardio-obstetrics, transition from pediatric to adult care, and pulmonary hypertension secondary to congenital heart disease. She is an active member of the Adult Congenital Heart Association.

Dr. Lam relocated to Tampa Bay Area with her husband and two beautiful children. She loves spending quality time with her family and enjoys going to the beach. When away from the office, Dr. Lam participates in mission trips to serve underprivileged children.
