What is Ambra?

Ambra is the image-sharing platform used by Pediatrix® Medical Group. Ambra enables you to view and share your images.

How will I know when my imaging is available on Ambra?

You will receive an email notification that your images are available after they have been reviewed and finalized by your physician. In some cases, this may be the next business day (24 hours).

If you are a first-time Pediatrix patient, please wait until you have received an email from Ambra Health to ensure your patient records have been synced and the first study has been uploaded.

How do I access my images?

Using your computer, visit our website and login to your account. Once logged in, you can download your images and videos in PNG (.png) and MP4 format by following a few easy steps:

  1. Open your images to see your pictures (Instances) and videos (Frames).
  2. Select the picture or video you would like to download.
  3. Once you have highlighted the picture or video, select “Export” on the top toolbar and either select “As Image Download” for images or “As Cine Download” for videos.
  4. Your images will download in PNG format and videos will download in MP4 (Cine) format.

NOTE: If your videos don’t automatically play, you can select “Play” on the top toolbar.

Why can I only see part of my images on my mobile device?

Ambra works best when accessed from a computer. If you want to access your images from your mobile device, you will need to download the Ambra mobile app from the Apple Store or Google Play, depending on your device.

Ambra mobile app for iOS (Apple) devices:

  1. In the iOS App Store, search for “Ambra” and download the Ambra Health app.
  2. Set up the Ambra Health app:
    • Navigate to your “Settings.”
    • Scroll down and click on “Ambra.”
    • Type in “pediatrixpatient.ambrahealth.com/access” in the “Host/Vanity” field.
    • Enable “Show Account Picker” by clicking on the access button (it will turn green when it is enabled).
    • In “Viewer Settings,” select “Image Quality” and then select “Highest Quality.”
  3. Go to the Ambra Health app home page and select “Register” to register your device (use the exact same name and email address you used when registering at your doctor’s office).
  4. Sign in to the app:
    • Click on the Ambra Health app to open it.
    • Scroll down to the “Patients” row and click on “Continue.”
    • You will be directed to select “Pediatrix” from a dropdown menu.
    • Select “Pediatrix.”
    • Enter your login information for accessing the Pediatrix Imaging Portal (you will be prompted to enter the two-factor authentication).
  5. Access imaging:
    • Once you are logged in, you will be taken to the “studies worklist.”
    • Select the image you would like to view.
    • Once selected, your imaging will appear.

Ambra mobile app for Android devices:

  1. In the Android App Store, search for “Ambra” and download the Ambra Health app.
  2. Set up the Ambra Health app:
    • Navigate to your “Settings.”
    • Scroll down and enable “Show Account Picker” by clicking on the access button (it will turn green when it is enabled).
    • Go to the Ambra Health app home page and select “Register” to register your device (use the exact same name and email address you used when registering at your doctor’s office).
    • Once you have registered, scroll down and select “Patients” and click “Continue.”
    • Go to “Select Your Facility” and select “Pediatrix.”
    • Sign in to your account.
