TeleID

Pediatrix Tele Infectious Disease program helps provide interventions for children

Pediatrix Tele Infectious Disease program connects hospitals, care teams and families with specialized pediatric infectious disease expertise through a telemedicine model designed to support timely, high-quality care. The program helps expand access to expert evaluation and treatment recommendations for infants, children and adolescents, including patients in communities where in-person specialty services may be limited. Led by Zachary Hoy, M.D., a board-certified pediatric infectious disease specialist, the program supports earlier guidance, coordinated care and informed clinical decision-making for a wide range of infectious disease concerns.

TeleID Benefits

The Pediatrix Tele Infectious Disease program provides health care systems with additional resources to support children of all ages while helping prevent the spread of infection. Through remote access to pediatric infectious disease expertise, hospitals and care teams can obtain timely evaluations, treatment recommendations and guidance for complex or urgent cases without unnecessary delays.

This support can improve care coordination, expand access to specialized services in underserved or remote communities and help local providers make informed decisions closer to where patients live.
