About Our Practice

Welcome to Pediatrix Neonatology of Ohio. Our team of 16 board certified/eligible Neonatologists and 2 board-certified pediatricians is dedicated to providing high quality care for newborns in the communities of Columbus, Ohio. We specialize in a wide variety of services for well, premature, and critically ill newborns, inclusive of prenatal consultation and delivery room attendance.

We provide on-site care in the newborn nurseries and neonatal intensive care units (NICU) and are on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at the following sites:

Riverside Methodist Hospital - The 42 bed Level 3 NICU specializes in the care of high-risk, premature and critically ill newborns and serves as the referral hub for the Ohio Health system. Our neonatologists are on site 24 hours a day providing care, along with a multidisciplinary team experienced in treating premature newborns, to approximately 650 infants/year. In addition, our pediatricians care for over 3000 well newborns/year at this site.

Mount Carmel St Ann Hospital - The 23 bed Level 3 NICU specializes in the care of high risk, premature and critically ill newborns and serves as the referral hub for the Mount Carmel Health system. Our neonatologists round daily with an experienced multidisciplinary team and are available on-call 24 hours a day, providing care to approximately 410 infants/year. Our pediatricians care for over 3000 well newborns/year at this site as well.

Dublin Methodist Hospital - The 7 bed level 2 NICU cares for high-risk, premature newborns of 32 weeks gestation or more. Our neonatologists round daily and are available on- call 24 hours a day, providing care to approximately 150 infants/year. In addition, care is provided to over 2000 well newborns per year.

Nationwide Children’s NICU - The 113 bed Level 4 NICU is the site of care for neonates transferred from our birth hospitals who are in need of multi-specialty care. Our neonatologists round daily with an experienced multidisciplinary team, inclusive of specialists such as pediatric surgeons and cardiologists. Our average daily census is approximately 17 infants.

Our team is committed to providing the highest quality, family-centered care. Our staff of neonatologists provide ongoing communication and are available to you and your baby 24 hours a day, including after hospital discharge. We also participate in both local and national quality improvement initiatives that help guide the future of neonatal medicine.
