About

Dr. Karolina Adam has been a Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist for over 25 years and is an internationally known specialist in her field. She began her journey in medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

She was inspired by the research and development of procedures that led to improved fetal diagnosis and fetal therapy. This inspiration led her to pursue and complete her Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at the Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. During her time at Baylor, Dr. Adam contributed to developing fetal therapy techniques and preparing protocols for treating pregnant women with cardiovascular disease.

Dr. Adam's clinical and research interests include pregnancies with multiples, maternal cardiovascular disease management in pregnancy and prenatal diagnoses. She is an active member of the International Fetal Medicine and Surgery Society (IFMSS) and the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She is also fluent in French and Czech and conversational in Spanish, German, Russian and Slovakian.

Dr. Adam has dedicated her career to optimizing the outcomes of high-risk pregnancies. Dr. Adam evaluates patients at our offices throughout Greater Houston, including 7900 Fannin on The Woman's Hospital of Texas, The Women's Place office on the HCA West Houston campus, Sugar Land and Katy.
