Atul Vats, M.D., MBA, is a board-certified critical care pediatrician specializing in the care of critically ill or injured infants, children and adolescents facing life-threatening situations. Dr. Vats has more than 25 years of experience as an intensive care unit (ICU) physician, board member and academician with numerous leadership roles in hospital and clinical settings. He is a resolute leader, focusing on building the next generation of physicians who lead and align with patients’ health care needs.

Dr. Vats attended medical school and completed pediatric internship and residency programs at the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Kansas City, Kansas. He was a founding fellow and completed a pediatric critical care medicine fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. He later earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Emory University Goizueta Business School.

Dr. Vats is a fellow of the Academy of Pediatrics and Academy of Critical Care Medicine. When he’s not caring for patients, he enjoys international travel, NFL football and college basketball.
