Dr. Sandler received his medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand Medical School in Johannesburg, South Africa. After medical school, Dr. Sandler continued his training at Baragwanath and Johannesburg Hospitals. Upon relocating to the United States, Dr. Sandler continued his medical training at The University of Florida in Gainesville where he completed his pediatric residency program and neonatal-perinatal clinical fellowship.

Dr. Sandler is board-certified in pediatrics and neonatal-perinatal medicine. His areas of expertise include developmental care, and pediatric research.

He was also appointed as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Clinical Educator Track) at Mercer University School of Medicine – Savannah Campus at Memorial University Medical Center.

He is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
