Dr. Johnston received her medical degree at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana. She completed both her pediatric residency and neonatal-perinatal fellowship training at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN.
She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in both pediatric medicine and neonatal-perinatal medicine. She is an active fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), the AAP Section on Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, and Women in Neonatology of the Section of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
Dr. Johnston currently holds an appointment as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics (Clinical Educator Track) at Mercer University School of Medicine - Savannah Campus at Memorial Health University Medical Center.
