Postpartum Underwear

New moms will want to have underwear on hand that will best support them in the months after giving birth. “Postpartum underwear that is high waisted with some support and stretch is preferable,” said Ellen Smead, CNM, certified nurse-midwife at Northside Women’s Specialists, part of Pediatrix® Medical Group. Smead recommended a combination of disposable and cotton washable underwear, noting that many women prefer a boy short style for disposable underwear.
