Breastfeeding can be challenging, but there are expert tips you can follow to help make it a successful journey. One is to avoid locking into one breastfeeding position. Each feed is different, so keep experimenting until you find what works. “Babies know when you're not comfortable, and the latching will be more difficult,” said Tania Lopez, CNM, certified nurse-midwife at Pediatrix® OB Hospitalists of Texas. Suggested positions include the football hold, side-lying and cross-cradle hold.
