On June 3, Kaashif Ahmad, M.D., and Matthew Rysavy, M.D., will discuss "Counting Weeks: A Changing Understanding of Premature Birth at Early Gestations."
Our understanding of the most premature infants has changed every generation for the past century. We will trace a historical arc of our understanding of birth after short gestational duration and review the new evidence reshaping obstetric and neonatal care at 22-24 weeks.
