Heather Drevna

Pediatrix’s commitment to clinical and research excellence is evidenced by our comprehensive educational and professional development opportunities offered online or during live sessions.

The Pediatrix® Neonatology Grand Rounds series addresses pertinent controversial issues that influence the clinical practice of newborn medicine. Webinars are held on the first Wednesday of every month from 4 to 5 p.m. Eastern Time.

On Sept. 2, Lori Devlin, DO, MHA, MS, will discuss “Rethinking NOWS – What the Evidence Shows Today.” After this session, participants will be able to identify how the results of the multicenter Helping to End Addiction Long-term (HEAL) -supported trials and studies will inform the clinical standard for infants with Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (NOWS).

Dr. Devlin is a practicing neonatologist and professor of pediatrics at Norton Children’s Hospital and the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Her research is focused on neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome, and she has published extensively in this area. Dr. Devlin was a lead study investigator for the Advancing Clinical Trials in Neonatal Opioid Withdrawal Syndrome (ACT NOW) Current Experience and the INFORM NOW: Informing NOWS Research through Retrospective Data Collection multicenter studies.
