Fetal Echocardiogram

A fetal echocardiogram (fetal echo) is a non-invasive exam using ultrasound technology to generate pictures of a baby's heart. A maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialist will review the images to identify any congenital fetal heart anomalies. Fetal echocardiography plays a critical role in the early detection and management of congenital heart conditions. Fetal echoes are performed at our primary Denver locations. 

By offering fetal echoes, our team provides dedicated support for patients with a history of maternal cardiac conditions, those with suspected fetal cardiac complications and individuals requiring cardiac assessment for in vitro fertilization (IVF) clearance. 

To ensure the highest standard of care, fetal echocardiograms are performed by sonographers who hold specialized certification in fetal echocardiography. These echo-certified sonographers collaborate closely with our maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) physicians to deliver comprehensive and accurate cardiac evaluations for both mother and baby.
