Pre-Conception Counseling

If you’re planning to become pregnant, a pre-conception counseling appointment can help you get your mind and body ready for a healthy pregnancy. Our clinicians will provide an evaluation of your current health and medical history and provide counsel on the risks and management of future pregnancy. During this visit, our team will talk with you about your health history, current medications and lifestyle habits. You’ll also get recommendations on behavior modifications to reduce risks during pregnancy.

Diabetes Management in Pregnancy

Women diagnosed with diabetes before or during pregnancy have difficulties producing the appropriate amount of insulin to process glucose, or sugar, in their bodies. Improper management of diabetes during pregnancy can lead to serious health problems for both you and your baby. Through frequent prenatal visits, a maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialist can monitor and provide recommendations to help manage blood glucose levels through a combination of healthy eating, exercise and medications.

Routine Pregnancy Ultrasound

Ultrasound appointments are an important part of most pregnancies. These scans use sound waves (not X-rays or radiation) to create pictures of your baby inside the womb. Ultrasounds help check your baby’s growth, estimate your due date and look for any concerns. The procedure is safe and painless for both you and your baby.
