Breastfeeding Resources

Breast milk not only provides beneficial nutrients to newborns but is also rich in other building blocks to help establish a strong immune system. It contains secretory immunoglobulin A (sIgA), an antibody that coats mucosal surfaces to trap viruses, bacteria and toxins, providing the first line of defense for the immune system. Additionally, breast milk contains human milk oligosaccharides (HMOs), cytokines, lysozymes, lactoferrin and other immune cells that help build microbiomes, maintain gut health, protect against infections and much more. Learn more about them below.
