About

Dr. Scott received a Bachelor of Science in biology from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and a Master of Science at Tulane University. She attended the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis and received her Doctor of Medicine in 2003. Her residency in obstetrics and gynecology was at Vanderbilt University, where she received several honors and awards in medical education and research, as well as serving as chief resident. After residency, she continued her training by completing a fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) at Wake Forest University School of Medicine. Dr. Scott is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is also NTQR certified.

Dr. Scott has a special interest in hematologic, circulatory and autoimmune disorders during pregnancy and is an invited speaker regarding inflammatory bowel diseases and pregnancy. Additionally, Dr. Scott serves as teaching faculty for the University of Tennessee OBGYN residency at Nashville and Meharry Medical College.
