Annette Santiago, M.D.

Dr. Santiago is originally from Puerto Rico and is proud mother of two. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Puerto Rico in 1995 and went on to complete her residency in pediatrics, followed by a fellowship in pediatric critical care at the University Pediatric Hospital, University of Puerto Rico.
After fellowship, she returned to her hometown as an intensivist, where she played a key role in establishing a new pediatric intensive care unit (PICU). She served as both intensivist and medical director of the PICU until 2010, when she relocated to Florida.
For the next eight years, Dr. Santiago worked as a pediatric intensivist at Palms West Hospital, Plantation General Hospital and Kendall Medical Center. In 2019, she joined the Pediatrix Medical Group as a pediatric hospitalist at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital. She served as vice chief of pediatrics from 2022 to 2023 and then as chief of the pediatric department from 2023 to 2024.
Dr. Santiago is double board-certified in ediatrics and pediatric hospital medicine. She currently serves as the program director of the ACGME-accredited Pediatric Residency Program at HCA Florida Palms West Hospital.
