Dr. Michael L. Megison attended Davidson College where he received his Bachelor of Science in chemistry in 2004. He received his medical degree here in San Antonio at University of Texas Health Science Center in 2009. Dr. Megison next completed a post-doctoral basic science research fellowship in Oncology at University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2013. He then completed his residency in general surgery at University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2016. Dr. Megison completed robotic minimally invasive training while at UAB and is a certified robotic surgeon. Dr. Megison completed his fellowship in pediatric surgery at University of Oklahoma Children’s Hospital in 2018.
Dr. Megison is board certified in general and pediatric surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He has over 30 publications and presentations to his credit.
