Dr. Joseph N. Kidd, Jr. attended Georgetown University where he received his Bachelor's degree in philosophy and biology (summa cum laude) in 1992. He received his medical degree from the Baylor College of Medicine in 1996. Dr. Kidd next completed his training in general surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences from 1996 to 2001. Following completion of this training, Dr. Kidd began his training in pediatric surgery in Little Rock at the Arkansas Children’s Hospital, under the direction of Dr. Sam Smith, completing his fellowship in 2003.

Dr. Kidd is board certified in general surgery and pediatric surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgery. He has over 10 publications and presentations to his credit.
