About

Deena Yowler, N.P., CNM, is a dual certified nurse-midwife and family nurse practitioner who has been providing care to women since 2006. Deena is originally from Tampa, Florida, but spent most of her childhood in East Cobb, Georgia. She attended Clemson University to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. While at Clemson, she had the opportunity to collaborate with a certified nurse-midwife on her honors thesis research project, investigating teenage pregnancy in schools with abstinence-only education.

Through her research, Deena realized she wanted to continue her education to care for woman. She earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Emory University, where she was named a Woodruff Fellow. After practicing full-scope midwifery at a private practice, delivering more than 1,000 babies at Northside Hospital Atlanta, Deena joined Maternal-Fetal Specialists in 2013. In addition to working full-time as the lead nurse practitioner, she manages the nurses across all practice locations.

In her spare time, Deena enjoys reading; hiking with her Bernedoodle, Tank; trying new restaurants; and escaping to the beach with her two children, Izzy and Paxton, and her husband, Paul.
