Kusumam Sidharthan, M.D.

About

Dr. Kusumam Sidharthan is a board-certified neonatologist with more than 40 years of dedicated experience in neonatal-perinatal medicine. She has proudly served families in the Rio Grande Valley for over 30 years and is known for her calm presence, compassion and dedication to providing the highest level of care during some of life’s most delicate moments.

Dr. Sidharthan received her medical degree from Calicut Medical College in India. She completed pediatric training in New York and neonatology fellowship training in New Jersey. Throughout her career, she has practiced at respected medical centers across the country and has served in academic roles helping train future physicians.

In 1992, she relocated permanently to South Texas, where she has continued to care for generations of families. Today, Dr. Sidharthan practices with Pediatrix Medical Group in McAllen and provides neonatal care at several regional hospitals. She remains committed to high-quality, family-centered care for newborns and their families in the Rio Grande Valley.
