Dr. Daniel Shmorhun received his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH and completed his pediatric residency at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He completed a pediatric cardiology and pediatric electrophysiology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas. Dr. Shmorhun served in the US Navy as a pediatric electrophysiologist until 2012, when he joined Children's Cardiology Associates in Austin. He is a member of the Pediatric and Congenital Electrophysiology Society and the American Academy of Pediatrics. He is board certified in pediatric cardiology. Dr. Shmorhun evaluates and treats heart beat abnormalities (arrhythmias) and performs heart catheterization procedures such as catheter ablation, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation.
