Tara Rogers is a dedicated health care professional specializing as a nurse practitioner (NP) with a focus on family health. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner from Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee, in 2017. Prior to this achievement, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama, graduating in 2010. This foundational education laid the groundwork for her extensive career in nursing.

Tara began her nursing career shortly after obtaining her bachelor’s degree. She worked as a registered nurse (RN) at Medical Associates of the Shoals in Sheffield, Alabama, from August 2010 to January 2011. In this role, she provided care within an adult medical practice, gaining valuable experience in patient management and clinical procedures.

Following this position, Tara transitioned to Saint Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. From January 2011 to September 2012, she served as an RN on the orthopedics/medical-surgical unit. Here, she honed her skills in managing complex medical conditions and surgical recovery processes.

In September 2012, Tara took on a more specialized role at Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital, where she has been working since as an RN in labor and delivery, antepartum, postpartum and the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). This position has allowed her to develop expertise in maternal and infant care while providing critical support during some of the most pivotal moments for families.

To further enhance her clinical skills and knowledge base, Tara completed over 720 clinical hours during her graduate studies. Her training encompassed a wide range of patient demographics across the lifespan—women’s health, pediatrics, adults and geriatrics—allowing her to provide comprehensive care tailored to diverse populations.

During her clinical rotations from August 2015 to July 2017, Tara gained hands-on experience under the mentorship of several esteemed health care professionals:

Tara Rogers joined Tennessee Maternal Fetal Medicine, PLC (now Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists of Tennessee) in October of 2019 as a nurse practitioner, rounding as the hospital NP, and transitioned to telehealth NP in January 2024. Tara Rogers is committed to providing high-quality health care services that emphasize high-risk care and patient education. Her background in both acute care settings and outpatient environments equips her with unique insights into patient needs across various stages of life.
