Maria Reed (Rosie) is a board-certified neonatal nurse practitioner with more than 31 years of dedicated experience in neonatal-perinatal medicine. She brings over 31 years of high-acuity neonatal care in a level III NICU, supported by a strong foundation of eight years as a NICU registered nurse and two years as a pediatric registered nurse.
She serves as an educator, preceptor and advocate for newborn care, mentoring future neonatal nurses and nurse practitioners. Maria is a certified NRP and S.T.A.B.L.E. instructor with a passion for teaching evidence-based practices that improve neonatal outcomes. She earned her Master of Science in nursing as a neonatal nurse practitioner from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston.
Throughout her career, Rosie Reed has remained committed to advancing clinical excellence while delivering compassionate, family-centered care to the smallest and most vulnerable patients. She maintains an active lifestyle as an indoor cycling instructor and values spending quality time with family. She also loves to travel. Rosie Reed remains committed to high-quality, family-centered care for newborns and their families in the Rio Grande Valley.
