About

Dr. Mauro graduated from high school in Rockville, Maryland. She left the area to pursue educational and employment opportunities, with stops including New York City (twice), Paris, Beijing, and Chicago. During her residency, she worked with a large high-risk maternal population and aimed to continue her dedication to improving both maternal and fetal outcomes, recognizing the increased morbidity and mortality rates in the US. She furthered her growth during fellowship, advancing her ultrasound skills for fetal diagnosis and monitoring, which continues to be an integral part of her daily patient interactions. Now, board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, she is excited to be back home and to serve the community where she grew up. Her clinical interests include fetal growth restriction, hypertensive disease in pregnancy, and preterm birth.

"Pregnancy often comes with uncertainties and fears. My aim is to offer guidance and unwavering support to my patients, helping them navigate this journey and optimize their pregnancy for the well-being of both mother and baby (or babies!)."
