Dr. Keren Hasbani was born in Jerusalem, Israel, and moved to Chicago, Illinois, at 10 years of age. After receiving her undergraduate degree in bioengineering from the University of Illinois at Urban-Champaign, she went on to receive her medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her pediatric residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, and her pediatric cardiology fellowship at DC Children’s National Medical Center in Washington DC, and advanced imaging fellowship at National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland, with a focus on cardiac MRI (magnetic resonance imaging).

Dr. Hasbani is board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology. She is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, American Heart Association, and Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance.

Dr. Hasbani moved to Austin in 2016 when she was recruited to join the program as the director of cardiac MRI at Dell Children’s Medical Center. Her area of specialty is non-invasive advanced cardiac imaging, especially cardiac MRI. She is interested in pursuing clinical studies that involve MRI of the heart.
