About
Originally from Venezuela, Dr. Maria Cristina Fernandez Ramos is a neonatologist at Sunrise Children’s Hospital in Las Vegas, where she cares for premature and critically ill newborns. She also serves as Transport Medical Director for the hospital’s Pediatric and Neonatal Transport Team. She completed her pediatric residency at Woodhull Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Westchester Medical Center.
Dr. Fernandez Ramos values compassionate, individualized care and clear communication with families. She works closely with a multidisciplinary team to support newborns and help parents understand and participate in their baby’s care.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, traveling and staying active.
