Courtney Brewington is a dedicated and highly skilled nurse practitioner who serves Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists of Tennessee as the hospital NP, rounding and seeing patients at St. Thomas Midtown, St. Thomas Rutherford, Centennial Women’s and Williamson Medical Center. Courtney has a strong foundation in nursing and an extensive background in maternal and neonatal care. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role. Her commitment to providing high-quality health care to women and their families is evident through her educational achievements and professional experiences.

Courtney earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Western Kentucky University (WKU) in December 2007, graduating cum laude. During her undergraduate studies, she was actively involved in several prestigious organizations, including Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and Delta Kappa Gamma Society International. Additionally, she served as treasurer for the Kentucky Association of Nursing Students at the WKU Chapter, showcasing her leadership skills early on.

Courtney’s professional journey began at Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN, where she worked as a registered nurse on the labor and delivery unit. Her passion for maternal health led her to take on increasingly responsible roles within the hospital. From October 2016 to June 2019, she served as assistant nurse manager for labor and delivery, OB high-risk, OB triage and the OB surgery center. In this capacity, she demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities while overseeing clinical operations and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Prior to specializing in labor and delivery, Courtney gained valuable experience working as a registered nurse on the cardiac telemetry unit. This diverse clinical background has provided her with a well-rounded perspective on patient care.

In addition to her clinical roles, Courtney contributed to the education of future nurses by serving as an adjunct nursing instructor from August 2011 to May 2014. This experience allowed her to share her knowledge and passion for nursing with students while fostering their development into competent health care professionals.

With a robust educational background complemented by extensive clinical experience in both labor and delivery as well as cardiac telemetry settings, Courtney Brewington is poised to make significant contributions at Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialists of Tennessee. Her dedication to maternal health and commitment to excellence ensure that she will continue providing compassionate care tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient.
