Dr. Navarro is board certified in neonatal-perinatal medicine. She earned her bachelor's degree and her medical degree from Manila Central University in Kalookan City, Philippines. She completed her pediatric residency at Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and her fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at the Cincinnati Children's Medical Center in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dr. Navarro is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of its section on Perinatal Medicine. She is the NICU medical director of Stormont-Vail Health and St. Francis Hospital and is currently the planning committee chair of the Maternal Child Webinar series that primarily broadcasts to HINK hospitals. She is also a member of the Kansas Perinatal Collaborative on Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome. She is involved with several hospital committees; she is an instructor for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and leads the NICU bronchopulmonary dysplasia committee and the Golden Hour committee whose goal is to improve the outcomes of babies born weighing less than 1500 grams.
