Pfizer’s vaccines for children under the age of 5 have been approved, marking a significant milestone for parents of young children. While many parents are anxious to have their child vaccinated, others are cautious. Zachary Hoy, M.D., pediatric infectious disease specialist at Pediatrix® Nashville Pediatric Infectious Disease, advises parents to schedule an appointment with their pediatrician to discuss concerns. “Sometimes there is not enough time for a detailed discussion at regular check-ups and a special vaccine discussion appointment needs to be made to ensure parents and the pediatrician have enough time to review those questions,” said Dr. Hoy.
