When Matt Ryan’s twin boys were born premature last February, he, his wife, Sarah, and the babies needed all the help they could get. On his cleats at a recent game, the Falcons quarterback showcased the March of Dimes and Atlanta’s Northside Hospital Miracle Babies, to help other families in such circumstances get the care and support they need. “We’re so thankful that our life brought us to Atlanta, and that Sarah’s pregnancy took us to Northside, and for the unbelievable care we got there,” Ryan said. “Sandy Jun was the main doctor who took care of both of our boys during their extended stay in the NICU, and Gretchen Koontz from Atlanta Maternal-Fetal was Sarah’s doctor during her hospital stay. And then the countless nurses and people who helped us during both the day and night shifts. They are dealing with you in a situation that’s stressful and difficult, and they’re so patient and so good to the children there.”
