COVID-19 virus poses a higher risk of heart inflammation than the vaccination

A recent study revealed that COVID-19 presents a much greater risk of developing myocarditis (heart inflammation) than the COVID-19 vaccine. According to research, the risk of myocarditis from the vaccine is about three per 100,000 people, whereas the COVID-19 infection poses a higher risk of 11 events per 100,000. “The biggest side effect of the vaccine is the fear of using it, and not putting into context the small risks from the vaccine versus the significant risks associated with COVID-19 infection,” said Hanoch Patt, M.D., MPH, pediatric cardiologist at Pediatric & Congenital Cardiology Associates, part of the Mednax® family, in Austin, Texas.
