Can You Tell When Labor Is Approaching?

Some changes in late pregnancy may suggest labor is near, but they cannot predict how quickly or slowly it will progress. “While there’s a countdown to a woman’s due date, there are no reliable countdowns to spontaneous labor,” said Fields. “Symptoms and signs that are classic can be present for days or even weeks before someone may go into active labor.”
