Is It RSV, the flu or COVID?

With several viruses on the rise, all with similar cold-like symptoms, it can be hard to tell what illness your child is suffering from. “Colds, the flu and COVID can all present with upper respiratory symptoms: congestion, cough, sneezing and sore throat," said Kristina Deeter, M.D., specialty medical officer for pediatric critical care at Pediatrix® Medical Group. "The flu often progresses to increased symptoms of body aches, fevers and fatigue. COVID may cause increased symptoms with progressive cough and respiratory distress."
