Dr. Barreto is a double-boarded pediatric cardiologist and intensivist at Boston Children's Hospital and an instructor in pediatrics at Harvard Medical School. She has a master's degree in epidemiology and clinical research.
In addition to being a clinician in a large cardiac intensive care unit, Dr. Barreto teaches cardiology and intensive care trainees, and conducts research on congenital heart disease, resuscitation and health equity. Her research has resulted in multiple grant-funded studies and is cited in national and international resuscitation guidelines.
