About Byron Holt, M.D.

Byron Holt, M.D., was born on a U.S. naval base at Subic Bay, Philippines, and has been living in Texas since early childhood. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Rice University, he earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed his pediatric residency, pediatric cardiology fellowship and interventional catheterization fellowship at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis.

Dr. Holt is board certified in Pediatric Cardiology. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Cardiology and The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.

Dr. Holt is the chief of cardiology at Dell Children’s Medical Center. His area of specialty is interventional catheterization of children and adults with congenital heart disease. He also maintains privileges at St. David’s Medical Center, Seton Medical Center, Heart Hospital of Austin and Dell Seton Medical Center for catheterization of adult patients with congenital heart disease.
